Summer Paws

Summer Paws

Summer Paws is the third installment of the Hidden Paws series and has exactly the same gameplay as the previous two titles, but a different scenery.

After hiding in Christmas presents or Halloween pumpkins, the sneaky cats now decided to take a break and lazily chill at the beach. They also traded the yarn balls for seashells and found new hiding spots in suitcases, boats or under lounge chairs or umbrellas. But this time they brought friends: if in previous games you had to find all the visible cats hiding on each island, now every level is populated with a mix of sleeping cats and active cats – you’ll need to find the sleeping ones (they have a sleeping animation that differentiates them from the others) and wake them up. If previous titles were more of a “find the needle in the haystack” kind of game, Summer Paws is pretty close to being a “find the needle in the needle box”.

A few puzzle elements were added in Summer Paws – I don’t want to spoil anything, but just know that they aren’t complicated to solve (it’s just finding some mechanisms and activating them for a pleasant surprise). The hint system for yarn balls (that was introduced in the second game of the series) is still present.

Manic Hyena did yet another job at designing 18 entertaining levels; Summer Paws is as lovely as the other titles and it’s a must-have not only for cat lovers, but also for fans of casual games.
