魔法少女甜心 Magical Girl Sweetheart
If you enjoyed the pair-matching puzzles of PawRebuild and PawRebuild 2, this game is by the same developer and uses that exact same gameplay, but with a massive, sugary upgrade. You now get to sort through a huge pile of desserts to find matching pairs of cookies, candies, drinks, jellies, and pastries. The art style here is so incredibly yummy that you might be tempted to start munching your monitor.
While the cardboard-themed PawRebuild games spread their progression across 5 screens per level, Magical Girl Sweetheart changes this to 2 puzzle scenes per level, followed by a lovely third screen to show off the fully restored picture with fairies or gnomes inhabiting it. To compensate for the fewer scenes, you get 20 levels here instead of the 10 featured in the PawRebuild games.
For the exact same price, this is a much more satisfying and appetizing experience. My only tiny complaint is that your anime companion changes her position every time you make a pair, which makes her a bit hyperactive.
If you love this one, make sure to check out 3D Magical Girl Sweetheart 3D as well, which uses the same item sprites but features 20 new environments, this time in 3D.
